UNDERSTANDING CHRISTIAN WATER BAPTISM:

Before booking your baptism, we want to ensure you fully understand what water baptism is. Here is a summary of our beliefs regarding baptism.

 

Our biblical understanding of Christian water baptism is as follows: immersion in water is a public way to celebrate the spiritual transformation that has taken place in your life at your new birth.

 

The water of baptism symbolizes both the death by immersion of the believer's old life, given over to sin, and their birth into a divine and eternal dimension, which we also call the new birth.

It is also a symbol of the cleansing of your old life and the beginning of a new life in Christ. John 3:3-21; Acts 8:27-39; Romans 6:4, Acts 2:38.

 

Christian water baptism is also a public manifestation of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, at Freedom House Church in Manchester, we can only offer water baptism to those who understand the process of salvation and believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior of their lives.
